ABOUT ANDRÉ

Over the past 25 years, André Wieckenberg has worked as a radio presenter and video journalist for various public and private broadcasters, including Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) and Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR). Selected samples of his work can be found below.
From 2015 to 2023, André served as Cruise Director on board TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff fleet, traveling all around the world.
In 2023, he returned to radio and is now the Editorial Director of the morning show Nick & Co on Berlin’s 94,3 RS2.

JOURNALIST & PRESENTER

2000 – TODAY

André worked for Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) in Halle (Saale) and Leipzig for nine years. As a presenter, he helped shape programs such as MDR SPUTNIK and MDR JUMP. He also worked as a video journalist for the television show MDR um 4, reporting from across the entire broadcast region.
In addition, he was on air for Norddeutscher Rundfunk and Antenne Niedersachsen.
Since 2023, André has been heading the editorial team of the morning show Nick & Co on Berlin radio station 94,3 RS2.

CRUISE DIRECTOR

2015 – 2023

From 2015 to 2023, André sailed the world's oceans with TUI Cruises. As Cruise Director, he held multiple roles including Head of Programs, Head of Communications, and Brand Ambassador.
As the voice of the ship, he was also the main point of contact for all guests aboard the Mein Schiff fleet.

MAGICIAN

1988 – TODAY

André has been performing as a magician on stage since the age of nine. What began as a hobby has become an integral part of his stage presence – including during his time as Cruise Director aboard the Mein Schiff fleet.
